AI memory test: five prompts you can try yourself
A free, no-sign-in toolkit for checking AI recall, correction and uncertainty. Copy five non-sensitive prompts into any assistant; no chat upload or model call.
An AI with memory should be able to draw on relevant shared history when you return, without treating every old statement as permanently true. Throughline is built around a continuing AI Self with its own starting character and interests, shared experiences and understanding you can question.
Saving a transcript and finding the right detail later are different capabilities. A useful memory system selects context for the present conversation; it can still miss a detail, retrieve the wrong material or misunderstand it. Ask what supports an important recollection rather than treating fluency as evidence.
Discuss an ordinary, non-sensitive plan, then return later and ask about it. Correct one detail and check whether later answers reflect the correction. This is a suggested evaluation, not a claim that every test will succeed. A familiar tone alone does not prove that shared history was used.
A Throughline Self starts with a distinct character, gender expression and interests. Shared experiences and developing judgments can shape later interactions. That is the product direction, not proof of consciousness or a promise that the AI experiences human feelings.
History viewing, correction, deletion and export are available on every plan. Exports are designed to be portable and verifiable; this does not mean another application can import them without compatible support. Avoid putting sensitive information into a first trial.
No. Context is bounded and recall can miss or misinterpret details. Shared history does not guarantee perfect recall.
No. Free includes a Self and shared history within its capacity. Paid plans change capacity and access; hosted computation uses credits.
